Okay, so I was doing a hotshot run to Venice, LA and on my way back I spotted a pristine looking metallic blue S13 vert with a 'For Sale By Owner' sign on it... so I turned around and looked at the car. It has a cracked dash, needs a radio, and just a couple small things like a power window switch. Its an autotragic transmission, but the body looks to be in IMMACULATE shape, and has 109k miles on it. I didn't get to hear it run, but I talked with the owner, and she wants $1500 for it. I think im gonna get it. What about you guys?

but so far you don't know what it runs like and it's an auto. other than that it sounds good to me.

 

Well I got my fb as a donor for the 5 speed swap, if the time comes. But yeah, I wanna det to test it and at least hear it run.

 

I would say to just buy the other car and use one or the other for parts (vert or fastback). Should be enough to get a nice running rebuilt KA, regardless if the vert runs like shiat.

I knowz. Ever since I got involved with the fairlady series and related genepools back when I was like 10, I've always wanted a badass 240 vert. rb20 + Vert + Silvia front end = Ultrasex?

 

that car is worth about $4500 if it is in good shape. I say do it, sell it and make a profit if you end up not liking it. 5spd swap should be about $300 or so

 

I have a perfectly good 5speed tranny in my fastback.

 

Do it dude, you'd be crazy not to. But, then you'd have a useless shell laying around with no transmission.

I heard a lot of that was wrong or over-stated. The owner of NICO did a huge thing about the convertible.

 

dewd verts are teh hawtness..take it from me...i have a miata...and u'll always want a vert and nothing else...they are the best...i would love to have a s13 vert...
