My window on the driver side doesnt work, when i push the button it just clicks. Any idea what is wrong?

 

the window motor prolly just burnt out. Or check the fuse.

 

I had a broken wire. It broke beetween the door jam and the door. If thats your problem its a cheap easy fix!

 

are there seperate fuses for the passenger and driver side windows?

 

i got the same problem. took off the door panel and when i press the button the gear spins but the window does not go up. anyone have a detailed diagram to fix this so i can save some dough and learn how to do it. thanks

 

ill have to check and see if mine does the same thing.

 

There is a wire rope that pulls the window up when the gears turn...the wire breaks and the gears just turns....very hard to fix, get another window actuator assy and replace the broken one....keep the original window motor for a spare just in case.....

 

yea i took the whole thing apart and figured out that one of the gears are broken so i got another assembly for $30

 

That's why I hate power windows, just one more thing to worry about. But like reefer said, you can find the parts cheap. My girlfriend's power window stopped working in her Accord and the part was $300, so it could be worse.
