Power window problems
I have a problem with my driver side power window. It started going bad about two weeks ago. By bad I mean it would not go down or up and then it would begin to work properly again. I went to a junkyard and bought a new switch, $80. and that did not fix it. I took the door apart and there is a regulator about half way down the door. When I push the switch it clicks in the regulator. I can buy a new regulator for $65 from nissan, I have not priced it at a junk yard yet. I can buy a new motor for the window from a Junk Yard for $80. Nissan wants $450. plus for a new one. No doubt what I will do if I have to have the motor. Has anyone had a similar problem and what was the fix for it. Junk yards will not take back electronics as you well know so this is a problem I would not want to use the process of elimination on. Any help would be good help.[FONT=courier new][I]
Geno, most of my junkyards around here, will take electronics back if bad.....they dont want to stiff you just for a couple of dollars, my opinion, find a fair and good junkyard and buy the parts there, the new ones from NISSAN will cost you.......Remember this parts are used on other Nissan cars too.....not only 240 SX's.....
Good luck!
Good luck!
Many thanx,
I have had good luck in the past with my junkyard connections; however, I just moved to a new location and am working with a blindfold. I will resume tomorrow, in my quest for parts. I just do not know which one to purchase at this point.
Thanks for the good advice.
