Problem with my 240
Alright, for sometime now ive had an idling problem. Sometimes during hot starts, the car would stall out. I did tune the car up thinking that was the problem, but it still has trouble idling. The rpm meter constantly moves from a little under to above one in a repeated pattern while im in neutral and parked. My friend thinks i have a vacuum leak. What do you all think is the problem? Please let me know.

Well since you had a tuneup, hopefully with Nissan parts, and still have a rough idle. It can be vacuum leak by the bypass hose on the driver side near the airbox (only hose on the right side kind of long) if that is good then I might check the EGR valve. I have the same problem and just bought one and will change it hopefully this weekend and see if that solves it.
But thats my suggestion for now.

ive had similar problems... but only when the car is cold.. i would let it warm up when suddenly it drops in rpm and shuts offf... i would just press the gas for a bit and it would be alright... it hasent happened to me recently... but it might since the winter is coming by

i had the same probblem a while back.
one day it wouldn't start for nuthin.
finally got it started and opned the hood to have a peek.
i revved it from the throttle body and descovered a leak under the fuel pressure regulator.**
**that round lookin thing on the fuel rail.** looks like nissan was cheap on the parts back in the day and the fuel eventually ate through the hose..replaced it and no more problems
my advice...
turn the car on, pop the hood rev the engine and look/listen for leaks.
the problem may be right under your nose

Thanks I will check them out. I still have a warranty on the car, so I will probably take it to the dealership, at least it will be free. Those nissan mechanics are stupid as ****. I will make sure they look at all the hoses.
