question about the speed govener bypass

well, i took a look through the fsm and noticed on pg. ec145 that after the signal wire's go to the speed sensor, then they run into the ecu, wouldnt it be easer to just cut or splice a switch into that then having to cut the signal wire before it goes to the speed sensor? the speedomiter is useless after 120 anyways, but this way there woundt be a need for a switch. eh, i started driving responcible a while ago, and dont really care if there is a govener or not, but just trying to help you guys out. if you care to try and let me know how it goes, the ecu pin is 53, should be a yellow with a green stripe wire.
heres the fsm
