radiator fans? Theres 2?

Okay so I didn't know this prior to changing my radiator. There is 2 radiator fans or there is 2 fans in that area. Now the question is do i need both fans, and if not which one can i get rid of. I get the feeling don't mess with it and just keep them both. It would be great if I could get some more info on this? Thanks.

you mean an electric and a mechanical? The electric one is for your AC. If you dont have AC in the car, just rip that ***** out.

Thanks Smoke apreciate it, i guess since i still got AC I can't get rid of it. Do i need the shroud/sheild that covers the mechnical fan. Sounds like a stupid question but I dont want to take it off and next thing have something happen to the fan.

leave the shroud on otherwise your gonna have cooling issues. It helps pull the air through the radiator.

Okay thanx figured the same thing, well is there a way to replace the mechanical fan for electric aftermarket fan? Cuz it would make it more spacey. Or is it just better to run it the way it is?

Yea lots of people run duel electric fans with no mechanical in there DD and Track Cars there pretty inexpensive. Pull one off an old sentra or maxima and buy an electronic thermostat to kick it on and off and your golden.

Or you could wire it to a couple relays. One to your ignition and the other to a switch.
