Hey guy's I'm tired of getting ripped off $169.00 for simple fix it stuff to the speedo that cost you $10 dollars of your time. Mr.Wizard claims for $169.00+shipping he will fix the digi speedo, HA what a fricken joke to replace a$3.00 capacitor, Gee the guy that owns that company defenitley plays people for there ignorance.
So anyway's if you are tired of getting ripped off here is how to fix the speedo, I found this on another forum so I can't take the credit. Enjoy!

each time i read that whole article i have faint nightmares getting all those switches off, stripping bolts, being in akward postions and sore fingers lol!!!! man and also each time i read this it makes me wanna try it again...

i tried the fix last night with no luck... im going to pull it apart tonight when i get home from work and try it again to see if i messed up... if the fix did not work i might just send it in to get it fixed...we shall see if it is my mistake of if there is another problem...

Hear you go, but as long as I've done capacitor and resistor work all you need is a tester from any Digi-Key catalog. If you decide to do it yourself go to www.digikey.com they have all the testers and replacement parts.

 

i called nissan today the replacement for the digital speedo is 214 bucks... im going to have them order me one and i will see if it is the whole unit or just the speedo... we shall see...i have all the testers that i need...and the micro soldering iron... i just dont have good enough eyes... lol...
