is this possible? to do a 5-speed swap from an s13 ka24de into an s14 ka24de..?? the onyl difference i know is that the s14 has VTC (or watever letter they use, haha) yes i did search but, can't seem to find anything, and if someone can search it for me, i would really appreciate that.. thank you

 

All KA transmissions weither SOHC or DOHC engines are interchangeable with the same transmsission numbers.
All NAPS Z20/22/24 transmissions are swappable to KA engines with the rev speed governor remover............

i just put a s14 motor in my s13 all i had to do was swap the intake manifold

 

someone told me the bellhousing was different from sohc tranny and dohc tranny. hmmm

 

nope bolted a 93 ka and 95 ka up to my original sohc tranny with no modification at all

 

NAPS-Z tranny bolts right up also just has one less bolt in the bellhousing bolt pattern.....
Thinking about installing the NAPS-Z20 transmission for faster shifting, and quicker 1/4 mile times...........
Gonna need the HKS SLD though I have a digital speedo so I can't do the transmission 4th and 5th gear sensor remover.
As a reminder all KA transmissions bolt to each other they have the same cast iron blocks. NAPS z blocks are the poster child cast iron blocks of KA, everything bolts up just has fewer bolts in the pattern here and there.
