tranny into engine

So i'm doing a KA for KA swap and i can't get the damn tranny back into the engine. It lines up and stuff but theres 1 inch left for it to go in. I didn't change the pilot bushing and i'm going to guess thats the problem. I also didn't change the other bushing that comes with a new clutch. any ideas on why this ****ing tranny has an inch room left?

patience is the key to this swap. you will be at this for a while so pay close attention. push and pull on it until it clicks. take your time and listen for the click. I know that this sounds like a bunch of b.s but I just finished mine. It takes some time but you will hear it click when you line it up the right way

maybe the little studs on the block arent going into the holes on the bellhousing, try puling it back some, but not all the way and then twisting it into place
