s13 p/s leaking

my powersteering has been leaking pretty bad. like wen im parking i notice a lot of fluid on the ground. wen i ope the hood its all over where the powersteering resevior. i tried checking it myself. wiped up everything and tried looking while running the car. looks like it leaks right where the pump is but was curious why the pump would leak. anybody have a powersteering leak before. just want to know if anybody else has this problem b4 i go and buy parts...so lmk, thanks!

Pumps do go bad, seals and what not, especially on a 15 year old car....replace the pump if you're sure that's where the leak is coming from.

me and my friends both had bad lines, have someone get in your car and turb the wheel back n forth while you look in the engine bay for the leak, it should be obvious

the bolt that connects the metal piece of the line into the pump, has a hole in it to flow fluid through.
