s13 parts or s14 parts???

Aight... I got a 97 engine in my 92 hatchback, and I need to order some parts; general replacement such as plug wires, starter, alternator, etc.. My question is which parts should I buy? Parts from a 91-94(s13), or parts from a 95-97(s14)?

if it's general stuff, either or. There isn't that much of a variation between the KA's in S13/S14 (DOHC). If you're picky like me, things like plugs, O2 sensors, cap and for rotor - go with the engine year since those are engine -specific parts. If it's chassis specific stuff (i.e. intake pipe, light bulbs, etc.) obviously go with the chassis type/body style.

^i completely agree... if it on the engine, then obviously you need 97 engine parts chassis, suspension etc buy parts for the original model year

I disagree about using a 97 O2 sensor , because it is a three-wire, heated sensor. 92s use a one-wire sensor.

An O2 sensor would be specific to the emission control electronics. Not the engine.
