S13 RHD Conversion Question
S13 RHD Conversion Question
Me and a friend of mine have been discussing possibly converting our S13's to right hand drive when we do our motor swaps. Because if we bought the full front clip wouldn't it include EVERYTHING we needed to do it? I mean we know it would be ALOT of work, but nothing real difficult, just time consuming. Has anyone done this? If so what problems have you ran into. Are there any special concerns that we aren't thinking of? If I do decide to do this I will keep everyone on the site updated as to progress, complete with pics and everything.
Thanks,
Jason

I've never seen a clip come with a center console, so you'd either need one or have the parking brake on the wrong side. Also the dash and interior pieces on a clip are usually pretty rough I dunno if I'd want to use them. That's the only trouble i can think of off the top of my head.
Hummm, yeah the dash probably would be a little rough, but I'm sure it could be cleaned up, if I really had to go to extremes, a light coat of fiberglass and paint it, either that or just cover it in black vinyl or something, I dunno. I just want RHD, I think that would be major cool. And having the e-brake on the wrong side would be no problem at all to me. Anyone else have suggestions or concerns?

A buddy and I did a rhd conversion on a 93 It wasn't too bad we swapped out the entire firewall. We did the metal work in a week. we drilled out the spot welds at the factory locations and then rewelded it back together It took some fitting but we got it in. It was well worth it. It has caught the attention of eveyone who has seen it.
