Hey guys... i need some help again.... i m about to buy and car and it damn sure is gonna be a 240sx.... a s14 is what i want and what i will get... but here s the thing.... 5spd!!! i cant find any for sale.... not only that 5spd 240sxs are more expensive than the autos cause the high demand for it i guess... so i was wondering should i keep looking for a 5spd or get an auto and do the 5spd transmission swap and later do the rb25det swap cause thats the plan in the future... 8 months or so after i get the car.... or should i keep auto untill i do the rb25 swap or is the 5 spd swap a bad idea and i should just get a factory 5spd intead of converting an auto to 5spd...... Thanks for the opinions

 

keep looking man...you're going to hate that 8month...at least i would...if you're really serious....search hard...news paper classifieds, autotrader, local little nickels, craigslist, and on the streets, parking lots, look for those for sale signs...i've found mine on freeway...saw the for sale and followed him home and bought it same day...avoid ebay and dealers...i just can't trust buying things online and so the dealerships...unless you're buying new...good luck...

 

Go for the manual...unless you dont mind about a extra day of work on your car doing a auto to manual

 

Do yourself a favor and just wait for the purrrrrrrrrrrfect 5-speed S14. Dont take the hassle into converting it, just take your time and wait. I'm tellin' you, its well worth it.
