S14: OBX and DC Header what size O2 bungs?

I know the earlier S14 uses a 12mm O2 sensor, but the later uses 18mm.

Do these have adapters or are they made in one size and you have to do the adapters yourself?

Thanks

they both should have standard o2 bungs...

the only time i have ever seen an adapter was inside of my stock manifold back when i had my Sohc... o2 sensors are pretty much standard across the board and all bungs are standard.

AFAIK (I only have a later model), I have a 4 wire 18mm O2 sensor. The early model S14 uses a 3 wire 12mm O2 sensor. They don't work in the same ports.

Nissan told me they showed to different part numbers as well.

I don't want to have a surprise on my hands.

what kind of surprise are you expecting? the header will come with appropriate size bung for that engine, which i believe are all the same size. so other than the possibility of confusing the o2 bung with the one for the egr tube, i don't see the problem.

If they are only selling one that covers 95-98 and the 96 is a 12mm O2 Sensor and the 97/8 use a 18mm O2 sensor what is the header set up for?

I am not sure if the OBDI 1995's have a 2nd o2 or not.

idk where you got the two different measurements for the o2 sensors, as far as i know there is only one size for all. the 2 or more (4 on some trucks) o2 sensors is a obd II thing that began to be used in 1999/2000 iirc.

even if the 95 obd I had two o2 sensors only one would go on the header. 1 pre cat and 1 after cat.

The O2 sensor on the 96 is a different p/n than my 98.

the obd1 s14 uses a 1 wire and the obd2 uses a 3 wire. my 98 has a 3 wire. they are the same size, thread, and pitch
but why not just keep the stock manifold, and put an sr downpipe on it?

i had this problem when i got my downpipe, the o2 sensor after the cat is alot smaller than the one in the manifold, i got a 1.00 adapter from home depot it has 3\8 outer thread with 1\4 inner thread and got some high heat teflon tape. no problem so far but i am going to buy a universal o2 sensor that actually fits here soon.

i think you can actually buy a "ka downpipe" , megan racing probably makes them. It would fit a bit better than the sr one

I'm installing an ebay header today and found the same problem. I think I'll head to home depot, thanks.

Let me know what o2 sensor would be compatable.

Dude all the bungs are the same PDM sells the bungs in 1 size for O2 sensors.
Even the EGR pipe bung is the same size as the O2 sensors..

you obviously have never worked on an s14, or at least mine. The EGR, precat o2 sensor, and aftercat o2 sensor are all different sizes.
