Hey all,

For some magical reason, my stock alarm on a 95 SE goes off on its own every once in a while...

Has anyone else ever had this problem? It sucks, because once or twice, I wasn't there, and I think it drained my battery...

Any input would be off the chain

 

i wish i had an alarm...

 

i have an old alarm on my s13 (i think it was installed around '95 or so), anyway it started going off on its own one night - i tried to turn it off by starting the car and it still didnt stop. i had to pull the in-line fuse in order to cut its power off, now when i put the fuse in , Nothing works, not even the remote.

 

I have the factory alarm, and no alarm button on the keychain

However, I can easily turn off the alarm by putting the key in the driver's side door and unlocking it....

Still wonder why it goes off on its own though.....

 

i have a 95 zenki also and I have the same problem. I can't figure it out. I've been trying to figure it out for the 2 years that I've owned the car. I did notice that it seems to occur when it is in direct sunlight. I don't know if you have the same problem.

 

I wish my factory alarm worked on my 95 , but the keyless entry works very nice... especially since i don't have a door key??? the previous owner only gave me the ignition key and remote...

 

Well..i have the same problem as you guys and its sucks. mine goes off every morning like around 9am-12pm, but im thinking it depends on what time i turn the car off at night. so basically my car works like an alarm for me.. which sucks cause i dont have an alarm button on the keychain too, so i have to run downstairs, out to my car. any answers to why this is happening?

Does the factory alarm have a adjustable shock sensor ?
