Ive changed my mind. Everyone who didnt even know about the original 240 would know but i dont think i would care. The 300zx'ers have the 350, we need the S16. And why the hell wouldnt you want to drift a Rx-7? I know your being sacastic but it doesnt work that way Snickers.

 

I would drift a 350 z before a rx-7, just personal preference, considering rx-7 are hard to come by, but i would drift it

 

YOu know the original "240" was the best.... and I'm talking about the 240Z

to put a car in the production, they would never listen to people. they look at the demand. and i would say theres very little demand for a s16. except us, couple of hundred of drivers.
that petition was made only to see who really wants the s16.

what do yo think.. the nissan manager or who ever is in charge of all that crap is gonna go, read it, look at signatures... and say "Hey, i think they right, we gotta make the s16" HeeeeeLL NO. thats not gonna happen.

plus, if they do make an S16, its gonna be some concept car that never makes it in production. even the phrase 'nissan 240sx s16' scares me, lol.

You guys don't realize that 240sx's seem very popular now because they're everywhere etc. but LOOK WHERE YOU ARE. You're on a 240sx forum. You go to Drift events where 240sx's are popular. You watch D1 DVDs where Silvia's are kings.

...but outside to the rest of te world, we're just another group of people who happen to like everything good and bad about our cars. We are not enough to make such a ruckus that some manufacturer will actually spend millions designing, tooling, manufacturing, and marketing a product that is a low-demand, high-risk item.

I mean, say the "S16" becomes real. Are you, any of you who actually signed the petition, actually going to buy one? If Nissan put out a "preorder your S16 no matter what it looks like or what it has but no refunds" list, would you actually sign that? I bet only a small percentage of the signatures on the current petition would actually buy an "S16". [Jaguar did something similar with their xj-220 or something and when it ended up being not what the customer pre-orders expected, they turned around and sued Jaguar].

Don't get me wrong if I come across as being harsh or whatever. I love my S14. I'm also glad there's no S15, S16, etc. because if there was, then I'd be the same as someone with a Civic, Type-R, blue:

...doesn't matter if it's a Civic, or if it's a Type-R, or if it's blue - there's probably another one around the block that looks exactly the same, or better since theirs is newer.

 

i wouldn't buy it.... i've only seen about 5 240sx in my area the past few years.

its wrecked, salvage title, but i dont care about that. its not like i am gonna sell it.
and the damage is not that bad at all. and i dont even care for the engine or milage. i want to do the swap first thing. so wish me luck so i can buy it on wednesday.
