lol I'm sure mine isn't going to blow for quite some time, but you'd be surprised at the people who don't know how to maintain their s2000's. The guys who neglect to get their valves adjusted to spec end up with an expensive surprise revving to 9.

I would love to see that, the F20C is just too over rated if you ask me. I thought it was a great motor (albeit, it technically is) then I looked at the potential power curves and said the same thing stwok.com said... drop a f*king 2JZ in there instead. You can actually do a decent JDM 2JZ swap in an S14 for the price of the F20C... Hit up 2jzswap.com, you'll know what Im talking about.

I would definately do the 2JZ swap if I had the money. I'm trying to find the right 240 in the first place. I think the F20c is a nice motor but just not all there. I guess I'm a torque queen. I like the torque a little closer to the horsepower rating. IMO the 2JZ is the t*ts!

Dont worry, theres plenty of 240's out there (so long as idiots stop wrecking them). You can get a JDM 2J for about 2200, pick up a T56, and pick up the custom bell housing this guy is selling on club lexus' web site and your set. The 2J swap kit is about 1900 for the motor and trans mounts, drive shaft and I think it also includes the wire harness for a straight drop in.

But then you have to look at building the 2J. Who am I kidding, S13 black top well built for the price of that F20C.

True, but I have my heart set on Starfire Blue '97 or '98 like in the show and shine section. That is such a nice car!!! But if I can't find the '98 then I will get the '95 or so. Just hoping to not have to get the clip from the '98

I personally wouldn't do the 2j, I've seen it and bleh. There's a guy working on an ls1 s2k as we speak.

True, but with so many SR's out there now, the only "unique" swap would be either the 2J or RB25/26. Or drop a GM LSx V8 if you want mad torque.

well, for 2200 bucks, where else can you get a pretty much bullet proof I-6? Just not sure if the getrag 6 spd is worth it. Even some of the lexus/toyota guys are thinking about doing the T56 implant.

And I know people will say RB25, but it doesnt rival the 2J honestly...

And please dont compare it to the E46 M3 I-6... at least all 2J's I know of never had a main bearing recall, and 2J's can take more abuse under boost. Many bimmer owners have said the M3's cant handle much boost.

Yeah the M3 has a nice engine but I wouldn't want it in a 240. It would be mad original but definately not worth it IMO. Ls engines are nice but for a crazy mixed up 240... the ford 427 cobra jet from back in the day would be cool but doubt it would fit in the bay. Hearing any old mustang engine in the 240 chassis would be music to my ears!!!

How about you just turbo your KAs and be done with it. They have mad potential, and would you believe every 240 came stock with a KA?
