alright i just tried it again and this is not budging... how exactly did you go about getting it off with the plyers or the vise grip?

If you are going to cut it off, cut the **** not the shaft....

I know on the saturn I had they were pressed on and quite a few guys popped themselves in the face when it let loose and/or broke off their rearview mirrors....

you know those ****ers back in japan are sitting back laughing at our asses right now. because they dumped like a tube of locktite on half of the shifters on the production line.

mine was a ***** also but it finally broke loose. i would say hacking it would be a last resort. but good luck.

mines it still ther but imma try the towel n a monkey rench or vises or sumthn soon... that **** is stuck on good.... will it mess upz if i take ot off that way will i ever b able use the stock shifter agen?

The vise grips messed up the bottom of the shiftknob... It'll screw back on fine but its not the nicest to look at anymore.

I tried to get mine off, and my stupid shifter broke in half...I was using vicegrips, and twisting it around and it just broke in half...so I had to buy a short shifter. Well now the mounts for the short shifter rattled loose and fell off, by the way I wouldnt prefer a OBX short shifter off of ebay...lol So now my OBX short shifter comes out of my transmission.
