Shops specializing in RB swaps

4 or 6 months ago, I read an article in one of the popular import mags about a shop that specialized in RB swaps. They will find a 240 donor car for you, swap in the engine along with any other mods you want. They also will do any suspension, brake, and body work you want.

I remember going to their website, but I can't find their name. Does anyone know of the shop I'm thinking of or any other shops that specialize in this type of work. I'm not talking about Full Race either, although there swap is prety sick but crazy expensive.

Yeah but a shop that actually finds a car for you AND does the install work + sourcing the motor must be expensive as well.

Im not sure what shop you are thinking of, but it must be in California.

hmmmm G-Dimensions? Jspec?
I think most shops that do SRs can do RBs as well.

I think the shop was in Ohio and there prices ranged from $9k to $14K depending on what you had done. It was a pretty good deal considering they also painted the car and put what ever front bumper/side skirts/ rear bumper you want on.

I work 80 to 90 hours a week, so doing this work myself is out of the question. Plus I liked the idea of having a shop that does nothing but this swap doing the work.

sounds pretty good. id like to see this site too.

sucks you cant do the work yourself cus IMO, half the fun of a car is doing the mods and stuff yourself

I started flipping thru all of my import mags last night, but I haven't found the article yet. It was a couple page spread with some pictures of finished cars and a bunch of donor cars.

I read sport compact car, super street, import tuner, and Modified Mag. The article would have been published between August and November, so that kinda narrows it down a little.

I finally found the article in SCC January 07. The company is Cruzin Auto Sales, see link below.
