Should I buy this 240SX
Whats up 240 people, I am supposed to buying a car really soon and i think i have found one. I am looking at a Red 1993 Nissan 240SX, swapped junkyard K24de engine with 90,000 miles on it. The car will have a new paint job and it already has the silvia conversion. Car also has a cytrilical (spelling) clutch and a fully adjustable suspension worth $$. Car will come with brand new tires and 15inch 5 spoke. COst 4600, i think i am getting a good deal it just the car used to be a drifting car ( not same engine) i am buying it from a tuner at SilviaWerks. Please let me know of any major factors that i should watch out for with this Junkyard Engine. Thanks
the things to look out for are the timing chain guides... if they are still in the motor then you should remove them befor they start to chatter or worse break off and end up causing damage...is the clutch new or was it the one that was used for drifting??? that could cause a problem if it is used and been ragged on... and if it has been a drift car has it been stacked up hard??? bad crashes??? look for frame damage if it has... just something to look out for...other than that it should be a good deal ...
^ yea, check for rust.
i dont know if it's just me, but i cant really get a clear undestanding of wat u are saying. So ur saying ur gettin a RED "93" 240sx that has a swapped junkyard KA24DE engine(90K miles), with a silvia conversion body, adjustable suspension, and brand new 15" 5 spokes wheels, and a paint job? I guess in general it all depends on the condition n brand of those parts.
IMO, i dont know wat to say about that price unless i knew the specs of those parts.
