should I buy a 240sx ... again?

hey guys.

I havent post in a long time since ive sold the 240. since then ive bought a rx7 gxl and now i own a svt contour.

I'm thinking about buying another 240sx but the last one i had; i wasnt too impressed.

so, I was thinking about doing a SR20dett engine swap... are those any reliable and how about the performance ? I have no idea but I would like to get myself back into nissan. I not the biggest fan of the 240sx "looks" but I love the 180sx body style. Are they swap'able' ?

help is appericiated.

You might just want to try browsing the forum and doing a few searches. There's tons of info here about SR RB and even CA swaps and lest we forget turbo-ing your KA. I have owned quite a few cars and I would have to say that the 240 is one of the most "swap-able" cars I have ever owned; there are tons of options. Anyways, look around, ask specific questions and I think you will get all the info you could want.

by sr20 i thint you meant det not tt but they are very relieable just get one from the relieable place. the only thing is if you need to replace something on it it can get expensive since the motor isnt in the US.

yes... you should, if you have the chance to buy it now and one that you want you should do it.

I had one in 2002- 2005, it was a 97 LE and swapped a s13 blacktop in it..

july 7th 2005 was the day i wrecked it and sold it (no crazy stuff, just lost my attention for a bit and end up hitting someone in an intersection at 35mph)

i bought a 99 gc8 with version 5 sti swap. it was nice but wasnt the same. had reliability issues with it so i sold it. bought a 07 4runner so i could drive everyday with no worries.

in june i came across a 98 SE with s14 sr swap... it was in chicago which was a lil far from Maryland and the price was ok... but i had to have it.

so now im driving this S14 everyday and love every minute. I was missin something from 05 til now. now i feel like my driving has a purpose and weekends look brighter. =)
