Thats a very nice clean kit on that Supra. Bomex makes some quality stuff, some of it may be a little on the ricey looking side but it is all quality none the less. For this simple fact Bomex does not equal rice.

Ricer wheels

ALL Focals are rice.
Damn focal to hell.
Arelli too. Str8 up rice.

There are also TONS of knockoff rims... half of Konig's wheels are Advan ripoffs. I'm pretty sure Kosei is all ripoffs too. Same with Katana and Tenzo R, and Nakayama and ADR are all crap knockoffs too.

After I did some reasearch and asked around, you'd be amazed how few wheels are actually worth your hard earned $.

(some good ones are: Advan, 5Zigen, Enkei, Volk, etc)

oh yeah, and the conversion thing...
if you have a 240 w/SR and new facia, you've got a neither a 240, nor a silvia (or 180sx for that matter)... you've got a Sil40 or a "240 with an SR".

Silvia (180sx too) = Right Hand Drive

Seriously, I'm sick of people saying they have a Silvia when they don't. If you don't have to walk around to the other side of the car at the drive-thru, you don't have a Silvia, Period.

I'm actually pretty sure that Kosei IS Buddy Club, not just rip-offs. I know a lot of people running the K1 Racings and they say the rims are great. Not to mention they look exactly the same as Buddy Club P1 Racings only with blue Kosei stickers on them.

you may be right, i'm not 100% on the Kosei's...
I think I remember someone telling me they were as bad as Konig (decent wheels I suppose less you're at the track every weekend), as far as being knockoffs.

But I did hear it from some guys in Japan, so maybe they were referring to Buddy Club.

Nothing ricey about my Bomex Sup if you were to see it in person,
I assure you...Check for yourself: http://www.webshopllc.com/swedemix/

Anyhow, what are the rims in your opinion that qualify as rice?

p.s. Sup RC!
i've seen bomex kits in person. one of my friends in japan has a bomex kit on his R32 GTS-T, it looks just like yours...well...except he broke his drifting when he smacked into a wall. i don't like their kits...for the most part anyway. they have a couple i like, but they basically look like stock. i like understated and consevative kits.

as far as wheels.

Konig
Focal
Axis
Primax
SOME Enkei
KMC
and even Racing Hart.

I'm very choosy, so don't take offense to my comments if they are bad.

here is a bomex kit i like.....

Yeah the Buddy Club P1's are Kosei's and Kosei's are not knock off's. A friends of mine has them on his ITR and likes them very much. They are pretty light and can be purchsed at a good price.

You can call it what ever you want, but to me Sil40 just doesn't flow the way Sil80 does. I know it sounds stupid but once you subconciously decide the way something should sound even hearing it said a more correct way sounds wrong.

it just sounds wrong because it was never produced. if the states got a 180sx and japan got the 240, it would be called a sil 40 and then people in the states would think that sil80 would sound wierd...does it make sense?
