some autox ?'s for rwd

Bascially i used to own a integra and now i have a 1991 240sx,
i find plently of posts on power, but i am into autox and suspension is very important
just a few quick things i have not been able to find out
what is a ladder bar?
why would you want stiffer springs in the rear rather than front?
(on fwd you would to even out the underdrive, but some coilover springs have 8k front and 12k rear, wouldn't that cause a lot of over drive?)
any thing else (besides sway bars, tie bars, strut bars and roll cages, i've got it all coming) to stiffen my s13 up?
that's bascially it. Thank you
(sorry if this can be searched for, please dont' flame i did search, and my struts are blow so this is time sensative)

ladder bar is a sway bar... under car reinforcment..
stiffer springs arent always the best thing to have. its pretty much just like any other car you need to find the correct dampening force that suits you best for how you drive. i have the tien flex setup and i personally like it set at 8 front and rear which is exactly half between hard and soft.

thx,
ya i know what a sway bar is, just didn't know they were refered to as ladder bars.
and yes i know about damping, i am acutally a kinda-serious autoxer and am looking at coilovers, i am just confused because i ran across some with an 8k rate in the front and 12k in the rear and am wondering from peopl's experience does the rear being stiffer as well as aready haveing rwd if the over-steer becomes too extreme
note- i'm not trying ot do difting contests or whatever, jsut looking to make a fun project and autox

thx for any advice
