JWT POP Charger is overpriced for what you get, that 7-8HP increase was done using a modded motor, and did I mention that JWT POP Charger is overpriced? Don't believe every claim you read; if that was the case, then you probably want that $39.99 +20hp "supercharger" you see in the back of magazines.

The dude wants to spend as little $ as possible, he's better off getting a K&N. Now everyone's bringing in motor swaps etc. Read the thread people.

^^^^Agreed, good place to check is the personal classified section for used parts. you can get some good deals from forum members on their parts. If it were my car i would not want to spend any money on the motor. IMO, the sohc is a pos. I would get some new brakes(300Z), maybe a new lsd setup, and a nice susension setup. Then when you have money get a turbo swap, SR/RB. In the mean time you can cut the bottom of the stock filter box off or just open it, and it will sound kinda beafy like you have an intake. Becuase when it comes down to it 5 hp does not matter in the least, and other than the sound i dought you would notice any difference. If you have enough money after the suspension then you could go for a decent custoom exhaust setup that could be used when you swap the motor. I think that is enough of my opinion.

^ Agree with goneturbo... back to the air filter thing real quick, if you go with a MAFS adapter and a K&N, you can use that for both SOHC and DOHC KA's... same with the exhaust I believe, if you get a cat-back done up. EDIT: MAFS is different for SOHC and DOHC unless you get a universal slotted adaptor.

As for suspension, cheapest route worth taking is finding a decent used setup of AGX's and springs (Eibach, Whiteline, Tein, etc.). New it'll cost you about $500 or so, used probably -$100 or so depending on condition

Oh yeah don't even waste your time with generic Ebay "coilovers" or no-name springs,

i had one of those and tried it, the only prob is theres a lil sensor that you need to find a place to put i just ran mine between the rubber part of the filter and the metal on the adapter so it would be inside the filter and tightened it down. and as for suspension when your doing that you might as well invest on the front and rear strut bars for like $20. thats about all i can think of right now.
