Spark plug boot stuck

The end part of a spark plug boot that goes around your spark plug fell off on all 4 of my wires.
I didn't notice today till i looked in the vc hole with a flash light.

If you dont know what im' talking about, you have the opening which the spark plug goes into, and then u have the rubber part that goes around the insert.

Someone told me to go in with a screw driver and try to split the rubber to pull it out. It's preventing me from being able to get the spark plugs out.

Anyone ever had this problem?

Personally never had it happen, but you should be able to get a set of good long needle nose pliers and get 'em out

I had that problem but only on one cylinder before. if memory serves me correctly taking off the valve cover made it a little bit easier. i think i wound up just taking a socket and hitting it with a hammer to get it to lock onto the sparkplug and pulling it all up that way.

had that problem also on all four plugs. Went to Autozone and got a pair of long needle nose pliers. Of course I was pissed as hell

needle nose pliars.
next time use some dielectric grease before you put your wires on. it'll prevent the boots from sticking to the plugs.
