SR20DET swap impossible?

Hey there... right now my 95 S14 has about 216,000 miles. Do you guys think that I need an engine swap now? or can it wait till later? The only repairs needed at this time is a new radiator and to replace the back brake pads. My question is if i need a swap, where can i get someone to do it for a good price and where can i get the whole engine and all the components for a good price also?

if it runs fine then keep driving it. a engine set cost yes about 2-3k. full clip can cost you a bit more. then you need a new fuel pump ($120) front mount intercooler (up to about $900) and a new clutch ($200 - $400). thats just whats necessary. good luck and happy hunting

Do you need to put a front mount intercooler for the initial swap? Or can i do it later on?

you dont need a front mount, you can use the stock one as long as you dont start adding boost! as far as motors, search around but remeber you get what you pay for. you really dont even have to get a new clutch (until you blow it out anyway) but i would get plugs, fuel filter all the small tune up stuff. good luck with it.

although it would make sense to change the clutch out if you swap to SR since you're taking the tranny off anyways...

...I don't understand the title of this thread.
