Strange Previous Owners???

To everybody who bought their cars used...what's the first weird thing you noticed about the previous owner and what they did to car before you had it? The first thing I noticed was that the previous owner had some fascination with the color metallic gray and had repainted many interior pieces that color. Oh and they smoked heavily because the ash tray looked as though it hadn't been emptied since the car came off the line. WTF!!!

Honto?^^^^

the previous owner was an old lady. I have no clue what she was thinking. I found some of her old bingo cards in the spare tire well. she had no clue about the car. it's an '90 se with super hicas. she was going to donate the car to purple hart.

The people that owned my '93 before me were an old couple. they taped over the rusted spoiler holes with red, reflective duct tape. There were also fake flowers and cat-themed playing cards in the trunk

One of the god-only-knows-how-many-people who previously owned my car had a cross attached to the visor that has permanently left a cross shaped mark in it... i thought it was best not to try to take the mark off.
On a side note the guy who bought my mom's old toyota corona killed his wife and fled from the cops in the car... he crashed it into a tree.

When I got my '90 I didn't even meet the owner, just his mom. She must not care for flat black much; she was desperate to get it out of her driveway... so desperate she went $700 below his "firm" when she couldn't get him on the phone. The gas door was taped shut.
The '89 came from a guy who was building a house-overtop of his existing one.

Yeah, what's the deal with all those wires in our cars dash? You'd think we needed 300 wires to hook up a stereo in a 240.

The cluster light is an easy fix. http://www.club240.com/forums/showth...threadid=35109 Hopefully thats your problem, if not it may be the switch.

got my first car from a dealer in san diego. car interior was mint minus the UV abuse on the exterior. had champion plugs, k&n filter, ac delco 850cca batt, yokohamas and the cleanest engine bay ever with no rust at all. previous owner mustve been a car nut. 2nd car, i bought off some old white guy in hollywood. he said he was a freelance graphic designer of some sort. he also had my favorite radio stations presetted on the stock headunit, which i found ****en awesome.
