Yesterday we gut the rear interior of my car cuz im fabricating a roll cage and I dont need all the panels and **** in the back. Does anybody know how to get all that tar or gunky **** thats covering the floor off. I tried turpentine but it just made my car smell.Any suggestions.

Use dry ice or wait for a really cold day and beat it with a rubber mallet and it will break off in chunks, a chisel would help too.

step by step:

1) put dry ice on a small section. Have a beer.
2) once it's frozen, get hammer and chisel.
3) bang bang bang.
4) move dry ice to another section. Don't have another beer; you might hurt yourself.
5) repeat #'s 2-4.

Turpentine, paint thinner, etc. won't work too well, plus it's so messsy. With the dry ice technique you can vacuum the sh*t up and have a nice day.
