I've got a 1989 nissan 240 sx that I'm considering parting out. I wanted to see what kind of interest there would be before I go through the trouble of doing it.

The car is complete. It proably has thrown a rod or something cuz there is no compression, but almost all the rest of the parts are fine.

Is there a market for interior items, engine items, suspension, body parts, etc?

I've never had a 240sx, so bare with me. I usually deal with 300zx and know that there is a market for used parts.

Just some info for you. I went hunting for parts this sunday. Amid hundreds of cars at the U-Pull-it, Hindas, Mitsu, Nissans, etc, we only found two 240SX. Both had been picked clean, a lot of the stuff left was mostly broken. I was surprised to see most of the glass there (including a sunroof, complete).

I got the electric mirrors ($6), some small screws and trim parts, and some of the items for the front driver suspension for $30. Not bad.

I think there might some market for the parts, but it also depends on where is the car...

 

i would buy the interior if it is gray and in good shape...

 

The car belongs to a friend of mine and he is going to let me have it to part out. I'll get some more information next weekend about the options the car has and the condition of the important parts (dash, ac compressor, glass, body panels, etc.)

The car is located in Atlanta, but for the most part, items can be shipped.
