This is an artist's impression of what an S16 might look like. It is based on an S15 image, and a Renault front end (Megane, I think). The photos of the engine bay were from a Domestic Market X-Trail turbo.

Sadly, Nissan have announced that after more than 30 years, the Silvia will be discontinued as the SR20DE and SR20DET do not meet incoming Japanese emission standards (odd, because they are not as tough as ADR, which Nissan Australia managed to meet, some writers have suggested this is really to clarify the market for the 350Z, due in 2003). but Nissan Australia kept the car on sale in Australia until, when all the available shells are used up. The GT-Spec cars are a way of using the remaining Japanese-spec wings.

There may be an S16 developed for 2004, 2005. This was hinted at during the Australian launch of the 350Z.

Hopefully they could bring the S16 to North American shores! Nissan seems to be trying to expand more ie. Titan, 350, Murano so maybe this could be a reality

That looks kinda cool. But the rear quarter looks like Maserati coupe...

Well, I only wish they can keep the legend alive, even only in N/A version SR20VE. The aftermarket will always take care of the turbo....

right on. i first saw that picture like ~ a year ago. face it, the closest thing to an entry level RWD sports car we're gonna see from Nissan is the Z. there just doesn't seem to be a market for them, or else we would have seen more actual models or even concepts by now (from other makes, too). i'll believe it when i see a "Silvia Concept" at an international auto show...

Yah I read somewhere that they have AWD G35 coupes rolling around in the East somewhere... and the GT-R was always AWD... plus the G35 coupe is named the Skyline coupe in Japan...

...too close for coincidence, I'd say

I believe new cars are always better than old ones... But I can't deny my feeling that R34 is still the best looking Skyline to me so far...

Also too bad it's not as good in tight corners as our 240s or RX-7s...
