RPS13: SE are power everything, LE has leather, base basically has none of that.

1989-1990 are SOHC KA24E, they are in either coupes or fastback options... base, SE, XE

1991-1993 are DOHC KA24DE, they are either coupes or fastback options....base, SE, LE

S14:
base can come with power everything but no sunroof. SE has a sunroof and power everything, other clues is the lip and foglights(optional though), and LE is leather interior

1995-1996 DOHC KA24DE has the round type of headlights, no different body types... has base, SE, and LE

1997-1998 DOHC KA24DE has the "evil eyes" headlights, no different body types has base, SE and LE

fiunny, i just went from 1991 240sx to 1991 supra, anyhow aftermarket support for the 240 is IMO more than you would see for a MK3, so you should be alright

I'm VERY picky when it comes to buyin cars. I looked for over a year to find a mint 1992 with low km'm (I live in Canada). Heres a few thing that I look for: inspect under the hood around the inner fenders, Look at the seems in the sheet medal. if there starting to crack or come apart most likely the car has been hit or drivin hard. Check the frame rails under (under the cabin) look to see if they have been colapsed from improper jacking up of the car. If it has a stock spoiler most likly there will be a few rust holes, Don't let these turn you away from the car! Most 240's with spoilers have the rust holes and the ones that don't usaly have been repainted. Check to see if it has "super hicas", if you want the 4 wheel steering then go for it (if you paln on drifting then you don't want it, you can take it out but it will cost $$). Just a few things to keep in mind. I just bought a 89 a few months ago, It was the striaghtest no rust 240 that I've seen around my area yet, and it had 213,000kms.
