times...

ok.. the 240sx weighs roughly 2800 correct?.. it has 155hp and 160 Tq... and runs a 16

WHY can a 99 Civic Si with 160hp and 111 Tq that weighs roughly 2650 and runs 15.5.. beat the 240??????? the 240 has so much more torque and REAR WHEEL DRIVE!!

is it the gear ratio's? or does the weight difference mean that much? thanks

So if the 240sx weights just under 2700 lbs and the SI weighs 2650lbs how can the 240 be slower?

The SI makes only 5 more horsepower, but has 49 less lbs/ft of torque!

How can the SI be a good .5 seconds faster than the 240?

W/out all that torque how can a SI have a better powerband than the 240?

Also, this wuld make me think that lbs/ft of torque is not as big of a deal as people make it right or wrong?

The peak torque is only a few hundred rpm before peak hp.

PEAK numbers are really useless. If you wanna know how fast a car is look at the dyno charts.

Low 14's sound right. That's what most SR owners say. Though with an intake, exhaust, and intercooler you can do high 12's/low 13's.
