hey... the guy i am buying a car from has a loan on it... he has to pay the loan off to get the title and i dont want to transfer the loan becuase the loan amount it more than how much i am paying him for the car and he cant pay me any money to cover the difference... any suggestions on what i can do?

 

ok let me get this straight. He is selling you the car for less than he owes? Well to be honest, to my knowledge, they are not going to release the title unless the lean is paid...if you buy that car, and he doesnt pay for the loan they can come and repo it from you!! So he needs to cover the difference BEFORE any bill of sale is signed. Once that happens you and him need to go to the bank TOGETHER and make sure he pays it off with the money you give him (you might wanna hold the money until you get to the bank). You can ride on the bill of sale once it is paid off and get the title transfered when he receives it. Be sure to get a written agreement (notorize it at the bank when yall go) that he will transfer the title to you as soon as he gets it in his possession. That is how you cover your *** my friend.
