SO i got off class and decided to drive down to the local yards. AND i asked around to see how much i can get a ka24de swap done for.

Jap tech told me 1200 for the motor, ecu, harness, and insatll. Or 700 for the motor with no alternator or power steering and 125 for ecu and 150 for harness.
So in the words of fez i told them good day.
(my uncle owns the damn yard so ima go back when he is there)

then i went to a mexican yard across teh way where they sell motors but no intall. they had a 95 ka24de w/95xxxmiles for 600 and then 100 for ecu and 100 for harness...

I need a motor badd. I havent driven my car in a month almost 2!!! My timing chain or something i s badd on that plus its got a couple leaks and i rather get a new motor rather then fix it.

so 1200 for a ka24de swap or 900 for the motor + goodies+ do it yourself.

Way too much. My friend paid $200 for a DOHC, he already had the harness, ECU, and tranny though. He gave away his old DOHC for free...definitely not worth no damn $1200, or $700. These motors are a dime a dozen and I see them for sale all the time.

My car is soooo cleannn! seats dash body paint rims everything is clean. all i need is a motor and ill be pullin on dc2's in no time.

 

yeah 1200 is way too much. one of the guys i know got his done for 350 so you can find one for cheap.

 

You'll have better luck finding someone else to help you find one, I'm on the east coast...sorry man.

so i found a motor!!!! and i was paning on buying it tomorrow.

then this guy comes along and wants to buy my car for 1800.

1800!!!! what do you think. I would say a 240 is worth more than that.

-red, , 5spd, 183k miles, clean paint, n1 style exhaust, prime rims, CLEANNNNn INTERIOR. Second owner, hatch with power everything.

badd >> check engine lights on, i think its the timing chain so thats y ecuse for a new motor.
