transmission noise

transmission noise

when iam sitting there in neutral theres is this sound coming form the transmission, maybe the stuff inside of the tranny, but when i step on the clutch it goes way?? any idea what this can be?? and when iam driving i put it in 4th gear and then all of a sudden it just comes out of gear and into neutral?? help please.

Your clutch slave might be broken like mine was. It ends up keeping constant pressure on the clutch.



Jack the car up and take a look at the clutch slave. It is a small piston on the passenger's side of the car. I am writing a tech article on the replacement of it now. Have a friend pump the clutch while you watch it to see if goes back down after pressing on the fork. If that seems fine take the boot of the clutch slave to make sure that it is not leaking.

pilot bushing go bad after a while too...
