trunk lock??

trunk lock??
so, i was kind of wondering if the trunk had a separate key than the doors. it doesn't make sense, but I've bought 2 240s and both had trunk locks that didn't work (doors worked no problem). i tried cleaning them with lock stuff and nothing works.
reading the posts here it looks like people have problems with those locks ... do they tend to freeze often on the 240s ???
anyone have any good solutions?
thanks!

it's funny but the key i use to unlock my drivers side door and to start the motor won't unlock the passenger door or the trunk. i had a spare key made at wal*mart and it will open the passenger and the trunk but won't unlock the drivers side or start the car. it's weird.

oh, i noticed my spare keys i had made did that too. what i did to fix it was i got a filer and defined the edges and ridges on the key more clearly. i guess 15 year old keys just loose their teeth after a while. a copy of something crappy will just be even crappier. kinda like making a photocopy of a photcopy.

On my 95 se, the key will insert and turn the trunk lock, but the trunk won't open. It only opens with the interior release lever. Kind of a pain in the ***, but the trunk is so damn small I barely use it anyway!

i had the same problem on my hatch. just take off the center tail light garnish spray some lubricant all over the lock. put the key into the lock and try to loosen it up a bit. it worked wonders for mine and its still loose as a goose. i used spray lithium grease. good luck.
