I have a 1989 240 xe. My turn signals turn on but they do not blink. i would appreciate any help thanks.

 

Prob need to get new ones. I had the same prob, Got new bulbs and problem solved. Also check if the wires into the harnesses are all the way in.

 

I'd go with the wiring, check to see if there not eaten through or any type of sort, and get new bulbs anyway, there not that expensive

 

usually when a bulb is out...the side that its out on will blink much faster than normal.

check your actual blinker fuse thingamabob (lol...im at work and cant think of the name i'll add a picture.)

its in the fuse box...its the round thing in the picture.

now im not sure if 240's have the same circular thing..it might just be a regular fuse...but on another car of mine it was the round THINGAMABOB!




while you are at it you should check all your fuses and replace as needed

now i did have this exact problem before and that solved my issue. but it was with a different car. not a nissan. i hope it solves your issue.
