question about year model of my car

I have a 240sx that has 6/94 on the door jamb tag....does this make it a 94 or a 95? The title states that its a 95 model. I need to know exactley what it is before i start ordering parts. I has S14 on the fire wall tag.....did the S13 production cut of in 93 or 94. I really need some help here before i start getting parts that won't fit.

In the us 9th models are considered the next year models example.....9/04 would be considered a 05. This is on domestic cars. Mine is 6/94 but the tag on the firewall says s14.....WTF?

You would know if it was a 94' because it would most likely be an automatic convertibal.

If its a 94, like jboo said it would be a convert.

If its a 95, it's a S14!

and FYI#2 the year on the firewall means the date when the car came out from the factory. the year on the title, means when the year of the model.

so cars are made about 1 year before model year.

common sense. if they would of start making a 1995 model at the begining of 1995, the cars would come out for sale in 1996.
now, who would want a 1995 model brandnew car made in 1996?

see?

one more thing:
you would of known if the car was a S13. totally different chasis then S14. so dont worry. you have a 1995 S14

If you think about it s14's and s13's are not that much alike. But they both have, imo, a bad as hell disign.

6/94 is the date they actually made the car...it IS an S14 and S14's start in 1995...meaning your car is marked as a 1995 car.

ever notice how in the summer of 2004 for example...they sell 2005 cars? thats basically whats going on
