Weird Noize

When my car is cold, and turn my steering wheel, i hear this weird Hum. But the sound goes away when the car warms up. I guessing its the power steering pump. also I'm low in power steering fluid, and I believe I topped it off about a month ago. So I'm guessing I'm leaking. Again my guess is the power steering pump but let me know of any other suggestions.

you are in long island pretty damn cold... what i would say is that the fluid in your pump is extremly cold and that makes it hard for the pump (which sounds a little weak) to do its job... what i would say is to replace the pump and flush out as much of the old power steering fluid as possible...drain the tank and use air pressure to push as much of the rest of the fluid from the lines...

Okay thanks wikd. Also I noticed when it's cold i hear a whining or grinding noise when I accelerate. But when the car gets warm it goes away.
