weird sound when i go over 50mph
anyways guys like the topic said everytime i go near or over 50 mph theres this weird tick sound that comes out of no where. it kinda sounds like im dragging something underneath my car but im not and first i thought it was my exhaust back firing or a tire blowing on me. so i pulled over and check nothing wrong. so i got scared that it might blow my motor or something lols because it sounds like something from the motor is about to blow too. so i just got off the freeway. sorry for such a lame explaination of my problem thats the best i can explain it.
^^^
jack the car so the tire is in the air.
grab the tire from two oposite ends and try to wiggle it. (the tire that is)
move it wiggle it up and down amd left and right. if there is more movement than would seem to be normanl then something is wrong.
if could a bearing or some other suspention componant.

When the throwout starts going bad usually you here a hummin or whistleing type noise. A little trick to checking if that's it is if you get your car up to the speed it makes the noise and slightly depress the clutch, the sound goes away.
Being as it does it at a certain speed, not a certain RPM would lead me to believe it's something to do with the tranny and back. Do you have anywhere that has like a dino tester or smoething where you can get the wheels to that speed and you can walk around the car while it's doing it?
