The handling of these two cars are very different. The MR2 is a great car, but extremly diffrent than a 240. The MR is a mid engine car and (from what I've heard) over steers somewhat.
Plus if your are looking at the MR2, I will assume the turbo version? Around $8500 or so for the MR2. The 1992 240 goes for any where from $3475 for the 2 door coupe to $5600 for the SE model (they can be found cheaper). Plus you would have to add the price of an engine/transmission, ecu, wiring harness, ect... and install to the 240.
DA performance list their engines..Ca18det: $1500 complete (no ecu). $950 for the engine swap. Not a bad price at all.
(I am not associated with DA. I do not know them or how their service is. They just happened to be one of the companies I have in my favorites and use for pricing.)
Get on MSN car point and pull up the MR2 the year model you are looking for and read some of the owners testimonys.
Either way you will probally be happy with your choice.

Can you show me some pics of 180's i just wanna see if anyone has made it to look HOT.....i really like the mr2 turbo with the kaminari kit with a air scoop i think that looks sooo hot
basically that is what is breaking me apart from the 180 is because i've never seen one that looks really good, i see them on some sites abotu drifting and all but they just look like regular 180's and stuff like that

mr2 turbo... it's a good car if you're keeping your engine stock and just plan to do exterior mods.. Because it's has a decent engine. But I think if you're going all out, engine and exterior, go for the 180sx conversion..
Typhoon! Get the Typhoon! My brother in law has one of those and its a fun ride. Nothing like a Buick GN motor and AWD tucked into a S10 Blazer body. Sorry guys but the GN motors are very strong and reliable. Of course they aren't too cheap to come by but if you can find one and you can afford it by all means get it. The MR2 sucks to work on. That is if your into working on your own car. The 180SX well its not a turbo which takes away alot from the car.
