If you can not tell that's a DOHC S13, JUST FROM THE PICTURE. You're and idiot. That's my 2 cents.

And your the idiot, because DOHC and S13 have nothing to do with each other. The KA24DE has nothing to do with S13 or S14.
If you can prove to me how you can tell, i will take it all back, but its not going to happen.

Oh a few tips on how to tell that its an s13:
- Peep the Master cylinder, See how the end looks like 2 circles? well if you look at the end of the s14 it only has 1
-Now look at the hydraulic steering reservoir. It is metal, the s14 is plastic.
-Another quick 1 is the top of the strut tower. The s13 is smooth, the s14 has ribs. Even though it doesn't show that much in the pic you can tell there's no ribs.

Newbie gots an attitude... oh noes! Look before you get anymore pissy, and keep being a freaking jerk off to everybody, you should calm down. It only makes you look bad. And BTW along with what jbask you could also see extremely clearly an S13 ps reservour... hmmm... that alone should tell you something. I think you should apologize to the thread starter. Maybe then go read a book, 'CAUSE KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! You too can be like Captain Planet you know.

Back OT:
The hose on the front draws clean air from the intake tract, and supplies it to a valve on the underside of the black plastic box. From there, a hose and steel tube connects to the exhaust system to feed extra air to the catalytic converter when the ECU commands it.
As an aside, the nipple on the front of mine keeps snapping off the black box whenever I bump it. Tried gluing it in, but it still wants to come off all the time. I need to figure out a more permanent solution.

Rip that **** out, you don't need it. Just make sure you plug any lines in the system.
As for the guy who knew what the car was from the picture...props. No apology necessary for knowing your ****, aside from some of the tards in here who don't or never have owned a 240sx. If you own one, maybe you should spend more time under the hood.
