what do i plug the metal pipe up with that is at the end of the aiv???

I now have the stock rubber hose that was on the system and just put in a vaccum plug in and used a hose clamp to tighten it up, but i was told that that would not hold up due to the fact that the air that is blowing through that line is extremly hot and high pressured. so what can i use to plug up this metal line???? help!!!!

I've used the same method since I removed the AIV. I left the metal piping into the header there, and then the metal piece I attached a piece of rubber hose and capped it off, has worked perfect since.

You know those odd bolts for the timing chain guides? I used one of those bad boys and heated the end of the rubber tube to be smaller than the bolt.

I just took mine off today and plugged the header with the 2 nickel thing that somebody posted on here awhile back. It works amazingly awesome. All you do is remove that extra bending pipe that attaches to your header. Then I had to cut that pipe in order to keep that screw sleeve thing. Once I got that off, I then placed 2 nickels in that hole and capped it off with the screw sleeve thing. It is very un-notice-able that anything belonged there.

As for any performance gains, not too sure as the only way to tell would be on the track.

who ever posted that 2 nickels thing, you get !
