What would you do if....

You have $5000 and a stock '95 240SX, 5 spd manual with the stock KA24DE engine?
Note you must stay within the money limit.

Rims, Tires, Coilovers, Rucas, Sway Bar, Tension Rods, and rainy-day fund for the next thing that breaks.

I agree with the above.

Its amazing how many people do not do this before they start to slap aftermarket parts onto their cars.

I'd say put it all into a rainy day account... haha my damn car breaks everytime I fix it.

But yeah mos def. What does your car NEED? - What WILL... it NEED?

Also when planning your alterations, try to keep them in groups... Change the shortshifter while you add the clutch and flywheel... that kind of thing. One of the little things people ignore cuz they get a part and want it in so fast they end up breaking it cuz' the other parts weren't ready.

But Rims and Tires are a great way to start to make the car look good fast and still has multiple benefits to performance.

to the herd.

On top of that, I would go with all new bushings, motor mounts, shocks/springs, tie rods/ends, and sways. Or, depending on how much looks play a factor in your feelings toward your car, I would start with rims/tires and then progress to the aforementioned items.

Save 1,000 for emergency and spend some money to make the car strong and reliable before modding.

Or you can post your address, phone number, and other info so other people can come over to your house and steal your 5 grand that you stupidly annouced online. Once it's stolen you dont have to worry about what to do.
