What year did they stop putting HICAS on JDM 240s?

This might be an odd question to ask I know, but I have a reason. I've been playing Gran Turismo 4 lately, and one of my main cars is a '96 JDM 240. Or so I think...it's called a 240SX, but it's a kouki body, so it can't be USDM. I guess they dropped the Silvia name with the advent of the kouki body. Anyhow, did those cars have any sort of 4-wheel steering? The car is classified as an FR, and it behaves like one, but the tires wear out even as with AWD.

if it looks like this then it's a 97-98 240. it IS USDM

1995-1996 is called a zenki
1997-1998 is called a kouki

as for the hicas question, i'm not too sure on that

Yes I know. It's a kouki body, like I said. But it's a '96, according to the game. I'll take a picture if you don't believe me, haha.

There are no JDM 240sx's. Gran Turismo is a game and yes, for some reason they are labeled 240sx in the game. As far as I know no s14's came equipped with HICAS. In the end, its just a game, yes its supposed to be the "Ultimate driving experience", but at the end of the day its just a little disc in your ps2.

Hahaha I know, I was just wondering. Other FR cars in the game of similar power ratings don't really do that. I think the game is pretty realistic in the way the cars respond. But you're right, it's certainly not realistic enough to be called "the real racing simulator"...how naive. The collisions in the game are laughable. If you hit a wall at 80MPH, I'm sorry, but you're not going to put it in first and drive right off unscathed. And the AI always follows their set line, even if you bump their car hard enough to (normally) make it lose control. But hey, at least it lets me have a 500HP Skyline R32 for relatively little work.
