what's cheaper new engine or rebuild? KA24DE

i have a Ka24de and the rings are toast and so is the rods and pistons, i was just wondering what i should do. if i were to replace the pistons rings and rods where should i buy the parts?

Sounds exactly like me...I'm doing both. Since mine is a daily driver and I need it I'ma buy a spare motor and build that up then pop it in when I'm done.

All depends on what your definition of rebuild is, and if the condition of the new engine if you bought it

you can get ka's pretty cheap. i heard of this one guy in my town who got a ka and installed for just 300. the only thing wrong with it was that it had a blown head gasket.
