im trying to buy a steerin pump but it seems like there are two options...2wheel steering and 4 wheel steering. my car is a 92 240sx, ka. how do i know which one to get?
please help

 

i believe 4 wheel steering is the Hicas equipped 240's? Feel free to flame anyone

 

i your hicas your 4 wheel. if you not your 2 wheel.

 

Like they said, if you have HICAS (will usually say SUPER HICAS on the side molding of the car, and you will have a HICAS light in your cluster) get the 4 wheel steering one, chances are however that you will just need the regular one.

 

isnt there a visual difference like two outlets on the pump itself? and you could search around for the vin decoder thread. that will tell u if u have hicas or not.

 

look at your pump, does it have one or two powersteering lines going to it, if only one then no hicas

 

besides looking at the pump, is there a way to find out from the vin #?

 

see if theres a rack on the rear...
