Just my 2 cents. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
To DoMoKunsToys:
Like others said, start with the suspension mods and stay stock for the rest until you know your car. But you might want to have your brake balanced. That'll help some.
My now-gone '90 240 didn't have it balanced, and my newly-bought '89 did. It feels a whole lot different. Too much front or rear bias braking is not good in the begining coz it tends to upset your car... Anyway, Good luck & enjoy your car.
To lionel:
I'm not sure, I think not necessarily superstiff unless you're on track, but you probably need to go for fully adjustable coil-overs...

thnx again guys. umm.... lemme think of more questions lets see..
I was thinking about getting the Tanabe Sustec pro SS2 for my 98, are those good?
roll cage helps alot on stiffining up the car right?
This is what im planning on first stiffining up the car as much as i can with Tanabe Sustec pro SS2,front and rear strut bars, roll cage, rear upper arms, and tie rods
what else do u guys think? does my set up for stiffining up is alright?
my plan is to go auto crossing alot and meanwhile complete getting things for my car for it to be stable and than once i got everything i need to be stable ima move to practicing drifting!
does that sound good?
and what does the spring rate (7kg/6kg) have to do with? what numbers are good? and what diffrence does it make?

Im not the best for this type of question...but ill try answering them
-I havent really heard anything about the Tanabe's, Most people usually go with Tein, JIC or Cusco. But from Tanabe's other products, and there coilovers on other cars ive seen they seem to be great
Does Tanabe have any locations in the US just in case you need to have the coilovers rebuilt?
-Yea, roll cages help out a lot! You can feel a pretty dramatic difference.
-The upgrades you listed will stiffen your car up quite a lot, but look into upgrading your sway bars as well. Replacing/upgrading your bushings are a good idea too....but its kind of a PITA to do.
-That set up will do good for drifting/Auto X, just gatta make sure you have the right tires now.
-As for spring rates, for 240s you will almost always want a softer spring in the front (6kg, 7kg etc...)then in the rear(8kg, kg etc...) Spring rate is the amount of weight needed to compress that spring. As for good spring rates...6/7 is good 8/10 is good...but the higher you go the harder of a ride it is(for daily driven roads)
Well i tried explaining it...hope it helped you
