a lot of insurance scams do that type of tactic...hope u have allstate

but i got a freind to fix it cheap so i just bought it back from the insurance company

I'm guessing they're totalling it? See if you can buy it back... if it's less than a G I'd recomend parting it out or selling it to me =D.
