WTF is this for?

Anyone know what this does? I've flipped it so many times and it's done nothing. It's either broken or doing something I don't know. Anyone?

is your car an auto? if so it could be for the torque converter to lock or unlock it.

if it does do that then it's a good thing.

If you have HICAS there should be a hicas light there. If you don't have hicas it should be blank. Looks like he either scratched away the hicas thing, or tried to add his own switch.

There is no HICAS light. I have to led's on both sides of the dashboard, but above them there's no description or picture. There are no fog lamps, so I really don't know. Oh yeah, my car's manual, not auto, so that takes away that torque coverter idea.

did you ever think of taking the little panel out and seeing if or where the wires went to?

that would be a good place to start since everything that every one said didn't seem to help

if there is wires and you don't know where they go just tug them a little and look for movement..

On my 240, which was previously AUTO, that little button was a light for "overdrive". It would blink whent he car is turned on and also when "overdrive" was turned off. That was the little button on your automatic shifter below the release button to put it in gear.

There is a HICAS light there kiddo. I'll take a pic if you want me to. Don't talk about what you know nothing of.

IT'S THE FRICKEN HICAS LIGHT! end of conversation

So my car has HICAS? How can I know for sure or not if it does. The car was painted before I got it so the HICAS lettering on the side could've been painted over. And it's not a button, it's a switch. I'll take a better pic right now. And Dr., a pic would be nice.
